I was honored to be the first guest in the Sedona Symphony’s new Beyond the Notes video series, hosted by Shondra Jepperson.

We talked about my musical journey, early influences, the unusual path I’ve followed for nearly five decades, and some of the bigger ideas behind the music — creativity, persistence, curiosity, and staying open to where life takes you.

The Chapman Stick® is part of the story, of course, but the conversation goes well beyond the instrument.
